Process steps and test methods of terminal harness processing

Terminal harness processingThe production process steps are generally divided into the following four parts:


1. Wire cutting: the terminal harness processing manufacturer first uses automatic wire cutting machine equipment to cut the wire according to the size required by the terminal harness processing process, arranges the cut wire according to the regulations (such as 50 pieces/bundle), puts it in the designated position, and affixes the product identification, and flows to the next production process of terminal harness processing.


2. Peeling: install the corresponding wire peeling machine and equipment according to the specifications of the terminal harness for the wire cut according to the size, and adjust the process flow of peeling, wire clamping and thread cutting according to the processing requirements of the terminal harness. Adjust the size adjustment plate according to the peeling length, place the wire in the middle of the blade of the peeling machine, hold the wire head against the size adjustment plate, step on the foot to peel, and then flow to the next production process of terminal harness processing.


3. Tin dipping: adjust the tin furnace (300 ± 20 ℃) of the peeled wire according to the temperature given in SOP, sort the wire, separate and align the core conductor, and dip the core conductor with flux. During tin dipping, the core wire must be vertically fed into the tin furnace (the size meets the requirements of SOP). After the core wire is in place, the wire must be taken out immediately and then flow to the next production process of terminal harness processing.


4. Terminal crimping: according to the processing requirements of terminal harness, crimp the tinned wire to the terminal with a crimping machine. After this process is completed, the finished terminal harness has been completed. The following process will flow to the inspection and packaging process of terminal harness processing.

Test method:


1. Take the UL standard or equivalent wire with a length of about 50 cm, and strip the wire correctly at one end according to the tested terminal.


2. Use correct tools and methods to crimp the terminal and wire firmly, fix the terminal part on the fixed base end of the tension machine, fix the wire end on the fixed base end of the tension machine, and fix the wire end on the movable base of the tension machine.


3. Start the intelligent tension tester until the terminals and wires fall off.


4. Compare the measured data with the UL standard to determine whether the test is successful.


5. After three consecutive tests, all the tests are successful.
