The safety function of the car harness is to be fully guaranteed. Once the car harness has problems, it will affect the normal operation of the car function. Therefore, the reasons for the damage of the car harness in the use of the car harness should be specifically analyzed and measures should be taken in time.
Reasons for damage of automobile wiring harness:
1. When replacing the wire of the car harness, the wire is not selected according to the regulations (the wire is too thin), and the large voltage drop occurs during the passage of the large current, resulting in the heating of the wire skin gradually aging and damage;
2. When installing the battery, it is careless, the positive and negative polarity are connected reversely, the short circuit in the alternator, the insulation gasket and insulation sleeve are damaged, and the alternator field wire and grounding wire are connected reversely, which will cause the harness to burn;
3. The car harness is often fixed with thin iron pickup, whose edge is sharp like a knife edge, and the appearance of the pickup is not insulated. The vehicle oscillates and fluctuates during a long time, and the power harness is inevitably worn, cut and grounded, resulting in the harness burning;
4. When the car harness is temporarily connected to the electrical equipment, the current inlet and outlet of the fuse are not clear, that is, the power line is arbitrarily led out, or the fuse of the same specification is not replaced as required after the fuse is burnt, or the fuse is replaced with thick copper wire, which loses the protective effect and burns the harness;
5. The two connecting posts of the ammeter are usually made of plastic insulating sleeves. The plastic heat dissipation is poor, so it must withstand both current and fluctuation and oscillation. If the ammeter wiring is loose or the touch is not good, it will lead to temperature rise, resulting in the melting of plastic and grounding, resulting in the burning of the harness;
6. The connection of the connecting post is not reliable, and it will be heated due to large voltage drop. Over time, the insulation gasket will be damaged and the grounding will be short circuited. Note that the connecting post behind the ammeter and other instruments should be well connected, and the connecting screw of other wires fixed on the frame wiring board should not be too long, to avoid grounding and burning the harness.
